Berthoud Fire Protection District Incident reports for September 2014   Tuesday, September 2 BFPD responded to a report of a gas leak in the 1500 Block of Alpine Avenue. Xcel Energy was contacted and the fire crew assisted in clamping the line to stop the leak. BFPD responded to a report of a smoke odor in the 1400 Block of Maple Drive. The crew found a vehicle with a broken radiator hose. After verifying there were no hazards, the fire crew cleared the scene. Incident Reports, July 2014 Sunday, June 1 BFPD responded to a reported outside gas leak from a cut line on Martingale Drive. The homeowner had accidentally cut a line with a shovel. Xcel was notified and arrived to repair the line. Monday, June 2 BFPD responded to a carbon monoxide alarm in a residence on SW 49th St. The fire crew did not find any trace of CO on the detector.
