David “Wayne” Harris, 78, of Berthoud passed away on May 11, 2014 in Berthoud, CO. Wayne was born on November 15, 1935 in Fincastle, Virginia to Russell and Naomi (Rucker) Harris. He grew up in Fincastle and graduated from Fincastle High School. On July 28, 1969, Wayne married Kaye Short in Goodland, Kansas. Bryan and Heidi Short of Berthoud will celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary Saturday, Dec. 31. Heidi Horton was united in marriage to Bryan Short on Dec. 31, 1981 in Longmont By Judge Lucero. They have lived in Berthoud since 1991. Bryan is employed as a software engineer. Heidi is a computer technician and student at CU in Boulder.

Peter Taylor Marks Loveland resident Peter Taylor Marks passed away unexpectedly at McKee Medical Center in Loveland on Friday, Jan. 30, 2009. He was 63 years old. Known to his friends as “Pete,” Marks was born July 25, 1945 in Staten Island, N.Y., to Cornelius and Helen (Barber) Marks. He grew up in New York and New Jersey.
