Lady Spartans win third straight game By Dan Karpiel Sports Writer A three-week layoff did not affect the Berthoud High girls basketball team on Friday night as they topped Mead 50-34 in the Berthoud High School gym. Zack Ruebesam scored 16 points in Berthoud's 47-55 loss to the Mead  Mavericks. The Spartans  are now 2-6 overall and 0-1 in league play.
