Update, Berthoud teens in accident, driver dead from
The driver of the Jeep Cherokee, 17-year-old Steven Berger died of his injuries on Thursday. A memorial service was held at the Five Stones center on Thursday evening. Passangers in the vehicle at the time of accident were: Tinaya Norris, 17: Brennon Lee, 17: Nick Monchak, 20 and Nick Vanderlinden, 19, all of Berthoud. Teen in critical condition after crash south of Berthoud Reporter-Herald News Staff A teen is in critical condition following a serious crash south of Berthoud on Wednesday evening. Steven Berger, 16, was driving a 2000 Jeep Cherokee on County Road 4E just before 6 p.m. when he attempted to turn onto southbound U.S. 287 and was struck by a northbound Chevrolet Suburban, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
