      Larimer County Sheriff PRESS RELEASE A fast moving fire claimed two summer cabins in Red Feather Lakes early this morning and resulted in 367 evacuation notices being issued for Fox Acres and homes along portions of County Road 67J.  Winds gusting up to 50 to 60 miles-per-hour created 12 spot fires.  A large propane tank near one of the cabins exploded in the fire and went through a building across the street.  The building, owned by the Red Feather Lakes Property ... Berthoud Fire Protection District Incident activity for September 2012 Sunday, September 2 BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on County Road 13 and 42nd St. SW. This was a two-vehicle accident with heavy damage to one of the vehicles, minor damage to the other. There were no reported injuries. Two dogs die in Greeley fire

 Greeley Fire Department Responds to Residential Structure Fire Over 20 personnel, 4 engines, a ladder and a rescue unit responded to a residential structure fire at 914 15th Street in Greeley today.  The call came in at 11:39 a.m. The residents were not at home; however, two dogs were pulled from the building and life saving measures attempted.  Unfortunately, neither dog survived the fire. The crew found two 55 gallon drums filled with unknown chemicals and they advised the responsible party to contact a haz-mat mitigation company to remove the drums. Hidden Fire Damages Greeley Home At 10:00 this morning firefighters from the Greeley Fire Department were called to 1841 7th Avenue in Greeley on a possible structure fire. Upon arrival, fire crews found light smoke coming from the attic space of a single story house. Fire crews quickly established that all occupants had safety evacuated the home and began to search for the source of the smoke. RV fire endangers house in Blue Mountain

Shortly after 5 p.m. on May 31, Berthoud fire responded to 4529 West County Road 4 where they found a motor home with the front engulfed in flames. The motor home was parked in the vicinity of the log home but the crew from Station #2 managed to keep the fire contained. However, It was not until another unit arrived from Station #1 to assist that fire fighters were able to extinguish the flames.
