Turner shines in Sounds of the Season
By Gary Wamsley The Berthoud Recorder The Turner Middle School choirs displayed their talents at “Sounds of the Season,” their winter concert, on Tuesday evening. The show opened with the middle school show choir, the Fire Choir, under the direction of Paula Latchaw. The Fire Choir sang “Fire and Rain” and “The Telephone Hour,” with solos by McKenna Hawkins, Ali Berezay, Emmie Wellems and Anna Meira. Coin drive at Berthoud Elementary

The members of the student council, pictured here, made posters and public announcements for the coin drive, asking students to bring in their spare change for the collection. All those coins added up and in the background, student council advisor Janet Kincaid hands the check to Kim Land of the Christmas in Berthoud Committee.
