There is a great deal of controversy over the Keystone XL pipeline, the latest addition to the existing Keystone network. The pipeline moves diluted bitumen from the Athabasca Oil Sands in Alberta, Canada, to multiple destinations in the United States. The current network extends to refineries in Illinois and a distribution hub in Oklahoma. The third westbound lane Eisenhower Boulevard at Madison Avenue. —closed since July 6-- reopened yesterday. Early next Wednesday morning, the entire southbound Madison portion of the continuous flow intersection at Eisenhower will debut. Just before noon Friday, traffic safety control worker Jackie Gion finished resetting about two dozen barrels, hitched up her electronic arrow board and opened the lane. Citing the construction on Mountain Avenue, from which she never fully recovered, and facing another summer of construction, Windy Castle has called it quits. She told customers on Saturday that it was her last day. The business remains closed on Monday, but the sign on the door says the restaurant expects to reopen soon under new management. Unconfirmed reports are that the previous owner, Michelle Lebeque is planning on opening again as soon as possible.
