Berthoud Team wins 3 v 3 LIVE Soccer Tournament

By Kathy Loberg The Berthoud Team, AVATAR, took first place in the U14/15 girls division in the 3-v 3 LIVE soccer tournament held on Saturday, July 10 at the Fort Collins Soccer Complex.  AVATAR team members are Cherokee Walker, Lindsey Loberg, Megan Loberg, Erin Briggs, Chloe Murray and Sam Alexander.  The AVATAR started the tournament out by winning against Tres Buenos 6 to 4; next they played Soccer Rocks and won 3 to 2.  The third game was played against the Grass Burners and the AVATAR ... Obituary: Mariella Marsh

Mariella Marsh, formerly of Longmont, died July 8, 2010 at the Berthoud Living Center.  She was 80-years-old. Mariella was born on March 22, 1930 in Prague, Oklahoma to Orlie Joe and Letha (Daniel) McGuire.  She married Walter P. “Bud” Marsh on August 7, 1952 in Prague, Oklahoma.  Mariella received her Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Education Specialist Degrees and was a teacher and counselor.  She taught home economics and directed drama programs in Carlsbad, New Mexico before ...
