Berthoud and Loveland Teams Compete at VEX World Championship in Dallas

Dallas, Texas (Action Works) April 25, 2010 – Colorado was well represented and had its best ever results at the 2010 VEX World Championships held in Dallas, Texas April 22 - 24. Three of the four teams were Berthoud and Loveland area teams, representing Berthoud High School (2 teams) and Bill Reed Middle School. Thompson School District names two new administrators

Bashor named principal of Big Thompson Elementary Kellie Bashor, who has worked in administration as technology integration coordinator for Thompson School District since 2007, has been named principal of Big Thompson Elementary School pending Board of Education approval on May 5. She replaces Kendrick White, who was recently named principal of Van Buren Elementary School. Todd Ball named principal for Loveland High School

News Release April 27, 2010 Todd Ball, principal at Bill Reed Middle School since 2002, has been named principal of Loveland High School pending Board of Education approval on May 5. He will begin his new duties in fall 2010. Ball will replace Dr. Fred Dreier, who is retiring from the district. Ball was assistant principal of Bill Reed prior to becoming principal. McKee Medical Center dedicates new Chapel

After years of planning, the McKee Medical Center Chapel was dedicated on April 15. Many of the hospital staff took the opportunity to stop by and see the finished product. Hospital Chaplin Bruce Rippe said he was very actively involved with the process of designing this space. He wanted a place that was spiritual, where people could meditate without the space having an overly religious tone. “What better way to do that than bring in the natural world,” he said. Robison said she never had doll when she was a girl. Instead, she cut out the models from the Sears and Roebuck catalogue and made dresses for them. The April BERT meeting

The Berthoud Area Resource Team (BERT) held their monthly meeting on Monday, April 19. The Business Appreciation Breakfast was first on the agenda. The breakfast is planned for Saturday, May 15 at Brookside Gardens, with catering by Origins Catering Company of Berthoud. Becky Justice-Hemmann has collected five donations of $500 each to help with the event and Larry Bebo of Brookside Gardens has given the group a “healthy discount” on the site costs.
