Francis James Brandt, 89, of Berthoud, passed away Friday, Dec. 5, 2008 in Loveland, Colo. Brandt was born Nov. 2, 1919, in Moline, IL, to Frank and Anna Brandt and had a younger brother, George. They moved to the Louisville, Colo. area one year after his brother was born. He was raised farming in the area and, when World War II came along he enlisted in the U.S. Navy in October of 1942.   Betty Griffin Kennedy Betty Griffin Kennedy died Nov. 6, 2008 at the Medical Center of the Rockies.  She was born July 14, 1945 in Tulsa, Okla., the child of William E. Fletcher and Betty Fletcher. Corby Lu Haworth, 52, of Berthoud passed away July 7, 2008 at Longmont United Hospital. Haworth was born November 11, 1955 in Longmont, Colo., to Robert G. Haworth and Avis Haworth (Sines). Obituary: Nanna Elizabeth Banderet

Nanna Elizabeth Banderet, age 92, of Berthoud, Colo., joined her beloved late husband Francis on Oct. 17, 2007. She was born Nanna Elizabeth Beveridge on the family farm near Sutherland, Neb., on March 22, 1915, to John Weir Beveridge and Margaret Elizabeth Beveridge (Vaughan). Nanna and Francis were married Feb. 9, 1940, in Kearney, Neb. They farmed south of Paxton, Neb., until their move to Colorado in 1955.
