Project America Run comes to Berthoud
July 15, 2010 Mike Ehredt is running across the United States, planting a flag every mile. The flags each have a ribbon with the name of a serviceman/woman killed in the Iraq war. 4,375 flags with 4,375 yellow ribbons along a route that measures 4,551 miles from Astoria, Washington to Rockland, Maine. Today he came to Berthoud. Ehredt is a U.S. Army veteran and a retired postal clerk from the town of Driggs, Idaho, population 1,100. Briggs is no stranger to endurance sports. According to the ... Ukrainian Orphans, Happy Campers
The lucky 11 children visiting the United States from Ukraine looked like happy campers on Sunday Afternoon. The children, ranging in age from 7 to 14-years-old are Ukrainian orphans visiting Northern Colorado as part of the Cultural Exchange Camp organized by the Ukraine Orphan Outreach (UOO) program. Berthoud Team wins 3 v 3 LIVE Soccer Tournament
By Kathy Loberg The Berthoud Team, AVATAR, took first place in the U14/15 girls division in the 3-v 3 LIVE soccer tournament held on Saturday, July 10 at the Fort Collins Soccer Complex. AVATAR team members are Cherokee Walker, Lindsey Loberg, Megan Loberg, Erin Briggs, Chloe Murray and Sam Alexander. Obituary: Mariella Marsh
Mariella Marsh, formerly of Longmont, died July 8, 2010 at the Berthoud Living Center. She was 80-years-old. Mariella was born on March 22, 1930 in Prague, Oklahoma to Orlie Joe and Letha (Daniel) McGuire. She married Walter P. “Bud” Marsh on August 7, 1952 in Prague, Oklahoma. Mariella received her Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Education Specialist Degrees and was a teacher and counselor. She taught home economics and directed drama programs in Carlsbad, New Mexico before ... Berthoud Artist Celebrates Milestone – Holds Contest
Berthoud, CO, Local artist Tyler Kennedy celebrated selling his 8000th print reproduction of his paintings on Thursday, May 27.
