Helen A. Schneider, 73, of Berthoud, passed away peacefully at home in the Rocky Mountains in Berthoud, Colorado on January 31, 2011. She was born on July 6, 1937 in Ellendale, North Dakota to Edwin and Evelyn Jording. She is survived by her children, Nancy, David, Carl & Elizabeth; grandchildren, Kirsten, John, Cody & Dalen; great grandchildren, Deziree & Dylan. Raymond B. Scott was born October 14, 1923, at Alma, Nebraska to Charles Everett and Faye Georgia (Coe) Scott. He died in Loveland, Colorado on November 18, 2010. He attended grade schools in the Alma, Nebraska area and graduated from high school in 1942 in Castle Rock, Colorado. Berthoud Veterans place flags at cemetery
Berthoud Lions Club veterans did not let the weather deter them from putting up flags at the Greenlawn cemetery in honor of Veterans Day. The twice-yearly event (Memorial Day and Veterans Day) has been done for so many years that none of the participants can remember when it started. Curtis Wilson said he may have been in the original group, but couldn’t be sure. Pearl was born on Oct. 6, 1919, in Ness City, Kan., to Thomas H. and Edith Annette (Tarman) Wierman. She met and later married Ellis C. Kenneth M. Kegerreis, wonderful husband, father and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Berthoud on Oct. 18, 2010, after an extended illness.
