Obituary: Pearl W. Wykoff



Pearl W. Wykoff, 91, of Loveland and formerly Berthoud, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, at Loveland Good Samaritan Village Health Care.

Pearl was born on Oct. 6, 1919, in Ness City, Kan., to Thomas H. and Edith Annette (Tarman) Wierman.

She met and later married Ellis C. Wykoff in Ness City on Oct. 30, 1937, and moved to Berthoud in 1949 from Bazine, Kan. Ellis preceded Pearl in death on July 23, 2002.

Pearl was a devoted wife and mother and longtime member of the Berthoud First United Methodist Church.

Pearl is survived by four daughters, Annette Sterkel of Berthoud, Loretta (Phil) Oddo of Davis, Ill., Roberta Wykoff and Patricia (Tom) Strozzi of Loveland; three sons, Rex Wykoff of Fort Collins, Joel (Debra) Wykoff and Kevin Wykoff of Berthoud; a sister, Lorraine Rucker of Grand Junction; and special “sister” Ruby Wykoff at the Good Samaritan Village in Loveland; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A son-in-law, Earl Sterkel; a daughter-in-law, Amender Wykoff; and two sisters, Kay McLiesch and Fern Pfannenstiel, predeceased.

A funeral service will be held 10:30 a. m. Monday, Nov. 1, at the Berthoud First United Methodist Church, with interment in the Berthoud Greenlawn Cemetery. No viewing.
