71st State Spelling Bee Next Weekend
By Thomas N. On March 19, three students from Turner Middle School will travel to Denver to compete in the 71st Colorado State Spelling Bee. After placing in the top six at the Thompson School District spelling bee, Hanna Stippich, Olivia Conde and Ken Kubik have been given a chance to compete for the title of State Champion. Turner Middle School places third at state Odyssey
The Turner Middle School Odyssey of the Mind team missed the Long's Peak Turnament at Berthoud High School, but managed to qualify for the state level by attending another district's competition. The team of Nicole Silvers, Charles Walkes, Olivia Conde and Olivia Eppler is coached by Barry Eppler. They chose to do he Nature Trail'r long term problem.
