  September  1 - 6 Tuesday, September 1 Squad 61 responded to the 300 block of Michigan Avenue for a lift assist. A 73-year-old man was found lying on his living room floor. He had no complaints of injuries due to his fall. The man was helped into his chair. Patient refused to be transported. Squad 61 responded to the 1000 block of Monroe Avenue for a lift assist.   Berthoud Fire Protection District Incident Summary,  April 2011 Saturday, April 2 BFPD responded to a commercial structure fire alarm at 1328 N First Street. The alarm turned out to be a false alarm. BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries on I-25 at MM 252. Units were cancelled en route by Loveland Fire, as there was enough manpower already on scene. BFPD responded to a possible dive rescue at 1300 N County Road 17. Crystal Fire blows up to 2,000 acres

Shortly after midnight the Larimer County Emergency Information Center announced that the Crystal Fire has blown up with sustained 50 mph winds and evacuations had been ordered. At that time the fire was estimated at 800 to 1100 acres with no containment. Emergency phone notifications went out to approximately 40 residences in the Stringtown Gulch area of the Buckhorn Canyon.   Larimer County Sheriff's Office Press Release   April 2, 5 p.m. The Crystal Fire in Larimer County remains at about 20 to 25 acres with approximately 25% to 30% containment. Again this afternoon, winds remained relatively calm providing firefighters an opportunity to continue to contain the fire. One structure, containing an ATV and a motorcycle, was destroyed earlier today. The vehicles were also destroyed. No additional structures are threatened at this time and no evacuations ... March 18, 10:41 update The Grey Rock Fire is now 100% contained. The fire is estimated at 17 acres and is located approximately one mile south-southeast of Greyrock Mountain near the Poudre Canyon on the Roosevelt National Forest. Firefighters will focus on mop up activities today. The fire was human caused; however, the details are still under investigation. The fire did receive light snow. Date:     March 14, 2011 Larimer County Sheriff's Emergency Services crews are responding to an area near 8300 West Highway 14 for a wildfire.  The fire is reported to be in the Hewlett Gulch Area near Greyrock Meadows, due north of Poudre Park. The fire is estimated to be about one acre in size at this time. It is unknown at this point whether there are any structures in the area. Berthoud Fire Protection District Tuesday, September 8, 2010 The Berthoud Fire Protection District has deployed resources to the Four Mile Fire 10 miles west of Boulder. Wildfire mural’s bold colors stand out

The Wildfire Summer Mural project is nearing completion as the crew puts on the finishing touches. Julia Lamb and Lane Foley were on the job early Thursday morning. The youngsters work under the direction of Anita Yeh. Yeh’s specialty is Asian Inspired Design. A multicultural artist, Yeh was raised in the U.S. but has lived in China and Taiwan.
