I’m Arn Menconi and I am a candidate for U.S. Senate for the Green Party. I am running, because as a dad of two young children, our generation must take back democracy back. I want to represent the people, not corporations and the top 1%. I will fight to end the military industrial dominance of our government with it's endless greed and killings, end our dependence on fossil fuels by 2050, providing single payer healthcare for all as a right not as a privilege and break up the Big Banks ... Vote No on 241

Vote No on 241

Dear Editor, I am a fifth generation Larimer County native, one generation removed from the cattle business. I am concerned about Berthoud’s unneeded Growth Management Area (GMA) expansions and annexations outside of existing GMA boundaries. Berthoud’s current GMA is over 24,000 acres in size. Berthoud currently has 10,712 lots in some type of planning review (enough for a population of well over 30,000 people). The current GMA is large enough to make Berthoud similar in population size to ... Full Story

Did a “Troubled Teen” Rehab Create

Did a “Troubled Teen” Rehab Create Murderers?

In March, Evan Ebel gunned down the Colorado state police chief and was later shot dead by cops after a car chase. This was only the most recent in a string of bizarre murders by men who attended a brutal teen rehab called Paradise Cove. The crimes are heinous: murdering a pizza deliveryman for his uniform, then wearing it to shoot down Colorado’s state prison chief; hiring a hit man to kill your parents; stabbing both of your grandfathers to death. Besides the horror, these recent ... Full Story
