  Anneliese (Lisa) Zimmerman, 88, of Berthoud, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2018 at Good Samaritan Society – Loveland Village. She was born on April 22, 1930 in Gevelsberg, Germany to Louis and Anna (Jeglinski) Dohle. Anneliese, while working as a secretary for the US Army Engineers in Germany, wrote a letter to Rocky Mountain News Columnist Molly Mayfield wanting to find an American pen-pal (and ultimately hoped to find a sponsor to help her immigrate to America). ... Joseph R. Sandoval passed away at the American Military Hospital in Landstuhl, on April 8, 2012 following a long illness. He and his wife Francine were married for 44 years. He and Francine had two sons, James and Mathew.  He is also survived by his sister Bernice Barney and husband Sherman and three nephews.
