Swim Team makes a big splash in the 2014 Swim-A-Thon fundraiser for HNS By Krista Markell Photo by Jill Strait On a beautiful Wednesday morning in June, the Berthoud Recreation Sharks Swim Team held their 5th Annual Swim-A-Thon fundraiser. Sixty-seven of the swim team members swam lengths continuously to raise money for the event. Older swimmers swam for 30 minutes and younger swimmers for 20 minutes.       February 25, 2012 Local Berthoud Boy Scout Packs/Troops & Girl Scout Troops will be in your neighborhood to collect food for local families in need on Saturday February 25. Please fill a bag with any canned or non-perishable foods that you would like to contribute and leave it on your front porch before 8:30 a.m.  Saturday. To the Editor:     I would like to thank Berthoud Community Library patrons for their generosity in donating food for the Berthoud House of Neighborly Service as part of our adult summer reading program. Since May 23, you have donated 213 pounds of food. Summer tends to be a time when food banks experience fewer donations, so two years ago the library added, “Bring a Food Donation” to the summer program bingo card in order to help another important community ...
