Obituary: William (Bill) Robert Eyl

William Robert Eyl, who preferred to be called Bill, died at TRU Hospice Care Center in Longmont, on November 5, 2022. Born in the Bronx New York, on February 22, 1941, Bill spent his early years in New Haven Connecticut, grew to early adulthood in Hialeah Florida, and lived most of his adult life in Berthoud.    Oct. 1-9  Saturday, Oct 1 Engine 62 responded to a medical call on McColm St. The patient had fallen and hurt his shoulder. The crew assisted TVEMS with loading the patient to be transported to the hospital. Squad 61 responded to a medical for a 94-year-old on 2nd St. The patient was transported. October 1 - 9 Saturday, October 1 Suspicious Circumstances: Hwy 287, Several callers called and reported the gates to a business were open and the business was closed. Nothing suspicious or stolen. Owner came and locked the gate. Family Problems: 2nd Street, a caller states ex-husband is allegedly mentally abusing her and their child. Investigation continues.
