Benefit poker run starts at the Derby

Friends and family are hosting a benefit poker run for Randy Guild and Brenda Smith of Loveland. Randy and Brenda were injured in a serious motorcycle accident on the Peak to Peak highway while on a ride in July. Their cycle malfunctioned and they lost control, hitting a guardrail and fell 15-35 feet down the canyon. Randy has severe spinal injuries that will require several months of rehabilitation and Brenda sustained severe body trauma that has required numerous operations and will require months of rehabilitation. Randy and Brenda have been members of the community for several years so it is fitting that local area businesses are involved. Registration begins on Saturday, September 11, at 10:00 a. m. at the Derby Grille in Berthoud. The first stop will be the Windjammer Roadhouse at Carter Lake,  then Miller’s Bar & Grill, Loveland, followed by Hooters at ThunderMountain, Loveland/Ft. Collins, ending back at the Derby Grill. There will be a raffle, silent action, and a money prize for the best and worst poker hand. Cost: $15.00 per person – $25.00 per couple. Donations are graciously accepted at any time. Any questions please feel free to contact Terie- 970-619-9840 or Cindy- 970-371-4066 All vehicles are welcome!
