Berthoud Fire Protection District Incident Report June 1 - 2 Saturday, June 1 Berthoud Fire was dispatched to Apple Leaf Assisted Living for a medical. Citizens assist in the 500 block of East Highway 56 for detectors. Engine 61 and TVEMS responded to the 800 block of 8th Street for a medical. TVEMS assumed patient care.   John Thomas Giggery July 28, 1977 - December 28, 2012 John Giggey passed away early Friday December 28th, 2012 at his home in Berthoud, Colorado. He is survived by his wife Deborah Giggey, his son Devon Gordon Giggey, his parents Alan and Eva Johnson and loving sisters Amanda Fudge, Maggie Johnson, and Sarah McGrory.   The Berthoud High School Graduating Class of 1971 would like to announce that we will be meeting at the Derby Grill at 5:00 p.m. Saturday September 17 for a dinner. Benefit poker run starts at the Derby

Friends and family are hosting a benefit poker run for Randy Guild and Brenda Smith of Loveland. Randy and Brenda were injured in a serious motorcycle accident on the Peak to Peak highway while on a ride in July. Their cycle malfunctioned and they lost control, hitting a guardrail and fell 15-35 feet down the canyon. Randy has severe spinal injuries that will require several months of rehabilitation and Brenda sustained severe body trauma that has required numerous operations and will require ... Full Story
