The new trail head will be a jumping off point to over 75 miles of regional trails, including Lory State Park, Coyote Ridge Natural Area, Horsetooth Mountain Open Space, Blue Sky Trail, and Devils Backbone Open Space. The amenities at the new trail head include vehicle and horse trailer parking, drinking water, restroom, and picnic shelter. The Blue Sky Trailhead will be open seven days a week from sunrise to sunset. A Larimer County $6/vehicle entrance permit will be required and can be purchased at the self-service station.
