Broncos Fall in San Diego, 35-14

Knowshon Moreno takes one of his three carries on the team's first drive.

The Broncos started strong in their lone Monday Night Football appearance of the season but couldn’t keep it going, falling to the San Diego Chargers, 35-14, at Qualcomm Stadium.

Knowshon Moreno capped a 6-play, 69-yard opening drive with a 4-yard touchdown run. Behind Philip Rivers’ four touchdown passes, San Diego responded by running off 35 unanswered points before Kyle Orton added a late touchdown pass to Brandon Lloyd.

Denver dropped to 3-7 on the season. The team returns home to INVESCO Field at Mile High on Sunday afternoon for a matchup with the St. Louis Rams.
