Larimer County Settles Fairgrounds Lawsuit

        Larimer County has resolved its lawsuit with the designers, manufacturers and builders of the metal buildings at The Ranch, Larimer County’s Fairgrounds. Larimer County will receive $14.8 million for a full release of all claims. The lawsuit stemmed from the December 2006 snowstorms that damaged the roof structures in the buildings. Subsequent forensic engineering studies of the buildings revealed that the buildings were under-designed and could not withstand the ...         Larimer County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a report of a sexual assault last night by a suspect described as a police impersonator. At approximately 10:00 p.m. last night (January 5), a woman in her 20's reported she had been stopped by a man in a dark sedan with a red light in the area of West 32nd Street and Glade Road in Loveland, Colorado who represented himself to be a police officer. Berthoud Fire Protection District Incident activity for December Thursday, December 1 BFPD responded with TVEMS to a reported motor vehicle accident on 287 near County Road 2E.   This was a multiple car accident and Mountain View Fire and Longmont Fire also responded.  Berthoud crew assisted with transporting one patient.   Ashley and Zachery Gettman of Berthoud announce the birth of Avery Lynn Gettman, Avery was born at the Medical Center of the Rockies on November 22, 2011. She weighed 6 lbs. 12 ounces and was 20 inches long. The Grandparents are John and Christy Gettman of Berthoud and Larry and Sara Nuckols, also of Berthoud.
