Fort Collins Stabbing

Stabbing at Plaza Hotel

At approximately 9:55 p.m. Christmas night a 44 year old male walked into Poudre Valley Hospital bleeding from a laceration to his neck.  He was treated at the hospital for that injury and other apparent stab wounds. Allegedly, he was stabbed by Scott O’Neill (DOB 12/20/1973) outside a room at the Plaza Hotel on east Mulberry in Fort Collins, Colorado earlier in the evening. Larimer County Sheriff’s Deputies were notified and contacted Mr. O’Neill at the Plaza Hotel. After questioning Mr. O’Neill, the deputies placed him under arrest and booked him into the Larimer County Jail on suspicion of one count of 1st degree assault. No weapon was located. As a result of the ongoing investigation, no further information will be released at this time.  The victim’s name is being withheld.

Mugshots of the suspect may be requested tomorrow from the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office records unit.

The charge(s) are merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
