Lady Spartans win again

The Spartan softball team defeated Skyline 11-1 at Skyline this evening. Morgan Thonhoff pitched five innings giving up 3 hits and walking 2 as Berthoud pounded out 12 hits. As in last game, the Spartans started the contest with 4 runs in the opening inning. The Falcons lone score came in the third inning. Daniel Skeen Reports on French-speaking Missionary Service in Canada Daniel Skeen, a graduate of Berthoud High School has completed a two-year missionary assignment in Canada for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Skeen served in the Canada French Speaking Montreal Mission. Hunter Hawkins to serve 2-year Mission in Mexico

Hunter Hawkins, a 2009 graduate of Berthoud High School, has been called to serve for two years in the Mexico City West Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Hawkins, son of Bryce and Nancy Hawkins, will serve the people of Mexico and teach about Jesus Christ in the Spanish language. teachers for Thompson School District arrived at Mountain View High High School for a day of orientation on Thursday. The morning began with an introduction to the Thompson Education Association, the local teacher’s union and continued with district staff. There was a chill in the air and the wind was blowing a bit, but the Berthoud High School graduation ceremony was blessed with a bright sunny day, matched the attitude of the graduates and their families. The graduates make their walk from the school building to the stadium. New this year was the addition of teachers in the procession.
