Why? The disk of our Milky Way is shaped like a pancake. On May evenings, the plane of the pancake-shaped galactic disk coincides with the plane of the horizon. Benefit dance at the “Old” Loveland Opera

The Independent Order of Odd Fellows is hosting a dance at their building in Loveland. Originally built as the Loveland Opera House, this lovely facility needs some restoration. The Dance on May 22 is a fund raiser for the building. Come out and  have a good time dancing for a good cause. See the attached flyer.

Thursday, April 1 April Fool’s day was relatively calm as police received two BOLO reports, made three assists and made one traffic stop. The traffic stop was at Seventh Street and Bunyan Avenue and the driver was give a verbal warning. Friday, April 2 A driver stopped by police at 3 a.m. was give a verbal warning.
