The Daniels Fund announced its scholarship recipients this week. Three seniors in the Thompson School District were awarded the scholarship. Elizabeth "Lizzy" Rivera of Berthoud High School was joined by Rebecca Mendoza and Sara Watkins of Thomson Valley High School. Larimer County, Colorado – On Saturday April 3, 2010 Larimer County began a process to install the first solar photovoltaic panels on one of its facilities. The first panels were fastened into place on Friday, April 15.  The 26.82 kW system will soon be up and running at the Larimer County Courthouse Offices (LCCO) Building at 200 W. By Claudia Todd-Young Approximately 400 people received free and low-cost health screenings this past Saturday at the 9Health Fair at Berthoud High School. While it doesn’t take a village to provide these services, it does take volunteers from throughout northern Colorado. Over 75 volunteers made this year’s 9Health Fair a reality for those 400 people. Turner Middle School places third at state Odyssey competition

The Turner Middle School Odyssey of the Mind team missed the Long's Peak Turnament at Berthoud High School, but managed to qualify for the state level by attending another district's competition. The team of Nicole Silvers, Charles Walkes, Olivia Conde and Olivia Eppler is coached by Barry Eppler. They chose to do he Nature Trail'r long term problem.
