Berthoud Board of Trustees had a full agenda for the June 15 meeting. Medical marijuana was eleventh on the agenda, but two business asked to speak during the Citizen Participation. Both wanted to be exempted from the moratorium and be allowed to open for business before July 1. Both had obtained a town sales tax license before the moratorium went into effect. Denkai Animal Sanctuary appeal for help

Denkai Animal Sanctuary is asking the general public for immediate assistance. We have until May 27th, according to the State Veterinarian’s PACFA office paperwork, to bring our 30 year old building up to code. Since Denkai took over the former K-9 Bed & Biscuit facility and all if it’s rescue animals, not only have we been faced with renovating a 30 year old building per our State Veterinarian guidelines, we have also been working non-stop to find homes for the original 60 or so dogs ...
