The City of Fort Collins Natural Areas Program closed Soapstone Prairie Natural Area today due to unsafe road and trail conditions caused by recent rains.  Updates will be posted at www.fcgov.com/naturalareas/status.php.  Rangers check conditions daily and will reopen the site as soon as possible.

GREELEY, Colo. – This week, the Weld County Grand Jury issued an indictment for Matthew Sysum (DOB 08/13/1969) of Fort Collins for crimes he allegedly committed in Weld County. Fort Collins stabbing

April 20, 2011 Larimer County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to the Timber Ridge North trailer park at 3717 South Taft Hill Road at approximately 4:30 a.m. this morning on the report of a stabbing.  Upon arrival, deputies found a 20-year-old man who had been stabbed under his right shoulder blade. Travis Bothe, DOB: 12/27/90, of Fort Collins, was arrested on suspicion of Second Degree Assault, a class four felony.  Bothe was cooperative with investigators. According to reports, the two ... Fort Collins, Colorado – April 2, 2011 – The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints today announced the construction of a temple in Fort Collins.  The temple will serve the needs of over 20,000 Church members in northern Colorado and southeastern Wyoming.  It is expected that when completed the Fort Collins Colorado Temple may occupy approximately 17,000 square feet on land yet to be announced in Fort Collins. February 12: At 3:39 a.m. this morning the Larimer County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call from the residents at 3717 South Taft Hill #38, Fort Collins, Colorado. Deputies, upon their arrival, found 27 year old Bernadette Deleon (DOB 02-22-83) bleeding from her chest and abdomen. She was transported to Medical Center of the Rockies by Poudre Valley Ambulance Service. Initial reports were Ms. Deleon suffered four stab wounds and is in stable condition.
