      Larimer County Sheriff's Office Emergency Services crews were called to assist the Wellington Fire Department today on a grass fire in the area of Vesta Lane and County Road 9. The fire was reported at approximately noon today.  Poudre Fire Authority was also called to assist. The grass fire burned approximately 650 acres and is currently about 90% contained. A smoke plum visible from along the front range marks the location of a major wild land fire just west of Flatiron Reservoir west of Loveland. The location of the fire at noon on Sunday was bounded by Pole Hill Road (West County Road 18E), Chimney Hollow Road and an unnamed road on the west side of the reservoir. Denver, Colo. -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has authorized the use of federal funds to help with firefighting costs for the Four Mile Canyon Fire in Boulder County. The fire is burning on state and private land in the Gold Hill area. FEMA approved Colorado's request for a federal Fire Management Assistance Grant (FMAG) at 4:20 p.m. MDT.
