State Board of Education Approves Common Core Standards

Press Release The Colorado State Board of Education today voted 4-3 to fully adopt the Common Core standards in mathematics and English language arts. The vote followed more than an hour of comments from individual board members and a recommendation from Commissioner of Education Dwight D. Jones, who supported adoption of the Common Core.
