  The Berthoud Fire Protection District (District), in cooperation with the Little Thompson Water District and the Town of Berthoud, has contracted the services of the National Fire Services Office to test and flush fire hydrants. Testing and flushing of fire hydrants within the Town of Berthoud and those portions of Larimer, Weld and Boulder Counties that are within the Berthoud Fire Protection District will be flow tested and flushed beginning Monday, September 22nd.   2014 Season Opener By Wendy Kenner September 15, 2014 Premier Gymnastics of the Rockies hosted the 2014 Season Opener Compulsory Gymnastics Meet. The meet was held at Loveland High School on September 6 and 7. The Level 3, 4 and 5 teams from Premier Gymnastics of the Rockies all competed at this season’s first meet. Black Lab went missing from Berthoud Estates on 5/25 between 10:00am and 4:30pm. He is wearing identification, but nobody has called. Signs have also been placed around the area.He is extremely skinny, and I am worried that someone has found him and decided that his owners don't deserve to have him because of his current condition. Obituary: Betty Helen Bashor

Betty Helen (Ferry) Bashor, 91, of Berthoud, passed away at the Lemay Long Term Care Center in Fort Collins on Wednesday, May 21, 2014. Betty was born in Spokane, Washington on June 4, 1922 to Mildred (Cramer) Ferry and Frank V. Ferry. Betty was married to E. Eugene “Gene” Bashor for 68 years. They made their home farming in the Berthoud/Johnstown area until 1977 when they retired to Berthoud. Gene preceded her in death in July of 2010.
