No Winter Boating Access at Carter Lake and Horsetooth Reservoir

Due to funding and staffing issues, and requirements for ANS inspections for every vessel entering these waters, there will be no boating access at Carter Lake and Horsetooth Reservoir temporarily, and possibly until March, 2012.  The public will be notified of changes. Please check the website for updates on most current hours and information:    www.larimer.org/naturalresources/boating_inspections.htm

The Larimer County Department of Natural Resources, in order to comply with State of Colorado Aquatic Nuisance Species Regulations, is required to inspect every vessel entering Carter Lake and Horsetooth Reservoir.  No boat launching is permitted when ANS inspections cannot be done.
