The Larimer County Sheriff's Office reports that Spencer has been found safe. More details to follow. On July 14, 2022, at approximately 1:53PM, searchers located Spencer Hallman, tired and dehydrated, but otherwise safe. He is being escorted out of the wilderness area on horseback by the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office Posse. (CBS4) – A Berthoud teenager accused of killing his former girlfriend has admitted to investigators that he shot the 18-year-old in Larimer County before driving her body to Mesa County. Larimer County Sheriff's Office: Press release (June 12) On June 12, 2016, the Larimer County Coroner’s Office released a statement identifying the deceased female found in Mesa County as 18-year-old Ashley Marie Doolittle of Berthoud, Colorado. The coroner’s office determined the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head and the manner of death was homicide. LCSO and the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office continue to investigate this case. At first light this morning, (June 10, 2016) members of Larimer County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services and Larimer County Search and Rescue responded to Lon Hagler Reservoir to conduct a land search of the area where Ashley Doolittle’s vehicle was found on June 9, 2016.
