West Nile Virus Mosquitoes found in Larimer County

Larimer County, Colorado -  The first positive West Nile virus mosquitoes of the year in Larimer County have been detected. The positive mosquito pools were found in the southeast and southwest areas of Fort Collins. So far this year, no human cases of West Nile virus have been reported.  West Nile disease is a viral infection which is spread to people through bites from infected Culex mosquitoes. Berthoud Teen missing in Rawah Wilderness

The Larimer County Sheriff's Office reports that Spencer has been found safe. More details to follow. On July 14, 2022, at approximately 1:53PM, searchers located Spencer Hallman, tired and dehydrated, but otherwise safe. He is being escorted out of the wilderness area on horseback by the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office Posse.   June 1 - 5 Wednesday, June 1 Squad 61 responded to the 800 block of Humboldt Peak Lane to help the homeowner with changing the smoke detector batteries. Engine 62 dispatched to the 1000 block of 1st Street for a medical on a 63-year-old man. The crew found the patient lying on the floor in a backroom, conscious and breathing.
