Harlin Dale Trupp, 69, of Berthoud passed away December 27, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 9, 1948 to Vernon L and Rachel (Kuxhaus) Trupp at the Larimer County Hospital in Fort Collins, Colorado. He was raised on a farm in the Masonville area and graduated from Loveland High School in 1966. Harlin attended the University of Colorado before enlisting in the Marine Corps in January of 1968.   Dean G. Anderson, 83, of Berthoud, Colorado, died on February 22, 2014 at home. He was born on June 23, 1930 in Loveland, to Edwin Swan and Helen Josephine (Peterson) Anderson. Dean graduated from Loveland High School in 1948 and attended the University of Colorado in Boulder. He married Betty Jo Janssen on September 15, 1950 in Loveland. Wally Gene Birkley, 71, passed away at his home in Berthoud on August 29, 2013. Wally was born October 30, 1941 in New Castle, Neb. to Orville and Lyla Anfinson Birkley. HAYS, KS -- Several area students have accepted scholarships to attend Fort Hays State University for the 2011-2012 academic year. Robert Workman, a 2011 Berthoud High School graduate, accepted a $700 Fort Hays Bronze Academic Award. Workman is the son of Rob and Laurie Workman, Berthoud, Colo. News Release April 27, 2010 Todd Ball, principal at Bill Reed Middle School since 2002, has been named principal of Loveland High School pending Board of Education approval on May 5. He will begin his new duties in fall 2010. Ball will replace Dr. Fred Dreier, who is retiring from the district. Ball was assistant principal of Bill Reed prior to becoming principal.
