Coffman Statement on Gitmo Visit

(WASHINGTON) – U.S. Rep. Mike Coffman (R-CO) released the following statement upon returning to Washington, D.C. from an official one-day visit to the Guantanamo Bay detention camp in Cuba: “On Tuesday the military flew me down to Guantanamo to see the detention facility where some of the most dangerous terrorists, such as the 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, are held,” said Coffman.  “I found their treatment more than humane and see no reason to close the facility.  I also ...
