A report yesterday by the Associated Press confirmed that Representative Cory Gardner (CO-04) faces a highly controversial plan this week to dramatically increase health care costs for Americans age 54 and under. Greetings folks. Not a great deal to relate but some things of interest. First of all, people near the fire may continue to see smoke for sometime as the mop up process continues. That may be especially true today since we may undertake a burn out operation to secure some parts of the fire line - that is, taking away burnable fuel in a controlled manner which might otherwise might give us a problem. Obituary: Henrietta Skinner-Hale
Henrietta Skinner-Hale of Colorado Springs passed away on April 10, 2011 at Brookdale Place after a short illness. Henrietta was born on April 22, 1917 near Longmont, Colorado to the late John and Henrietta (Eckhart) Lebsack Sr. She graduated from Longmont High School and worked for the Bowman Family in Denver. Henrietta married Richard N. Skinner on January 4, 1942 in El Paso, Texas while he was serving in WWII. They moved to Berthoud, Colorado where they owned and operated a TV and ... Full Story

Berthoud High School Play Premiers Thursday Night By Thomas N. The Berthoud High School drama department will premiere a production of The Wonderful Wizard of OZ on Thursday April 14. The play is an adaptation the book by L. Frank Baum and looks to be a good time with many experienced actors.
