Eagles Shoot Past Mavs to Take 1-0 Series Lead

LOVELAND, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles out-shot the Missouri Mavericks 45-20 in a record-setting performance that paved the way to a 5-2 victory in Game 1 of their Turner Conference Semifinals series. Riley Nelson (4 points), Aaron Schneekloth (3 points) and Kevin Ulanski (3 points) led Colorado's offense, while Andrew Penner won his fourth game in a row to continue his stellar playoff performance. Each year the joint team of Thompson School District, McKee Medical Center and the City of Loveland host a special event to honor volunteers who make a difference. This year’s event, held Thursday evening at the Loveland Police and Courts Building, honored 39 individuals whose volunteering goes “above and beyond.” Among those selected for this year’s awards were two Berthoud residents, Mark Parsons and Don Keck. Berthoud Bash 2011 A big success

Berthoud Bash 2011 A big success

This year's Berthoud Bash was a big success by any measure. The biggest measure of course is the fund raising for the Berthoud Schools which topped $100,000 this year. Congratulations to all the volunteers who make up the Berthoud Schools Fund. The funds will go to support technology in Berthoud schools. A "paddle auction" as the finale had set a goal to raise $20,000 to fund a variety of school activities that would be lost due to district lack of funding. The generosity of the crowd was ...
