By Thomas N. Berthoud’s Turner Middle School sent four students to compete in the district spelling bee last Saturday at Walt Clark Middle School in Loveland. These students coached by Colleen Bowker, were Hannah Stippich, Karsten Bump, Ken Kubik and Olivia Conde. Thompson School District is celebrating its 50th year as a reorganized school district with a free celebration scheduled for Jan. 14 from 6-8 p.m. in Roberta Price Auditorium at Thompson Valley High School. Three Berthoud Students in UNC fall graduation

The University of Northern Colorado hosted its fall graduation ceremonies Friday, Dec. 10, and Saturday, Dec. 11, at Butler-Hancock Hall. Approximately 175 candidates received their master’s, doctoral and specialist degrees in the Graduate School ceremony at 7 p.m. Friday, December 10. The featured speaker was UNC professor emerita of Psychological Sciences and author Jeanne Ellis Ormrod.
