Students appreciate teachers too
May 3 to May 7 is Teacher Appreciation Week. The Thompson School District has several events that show teacher appreciation. Last week, the Thompson Education Association’s Crystal Apple Awards recognized some of the district’s outstanding teachers as nominated by their colleagues in the profession. This week, at the Board of Education meeting, students had the opportunity to name teachers they appreciated. Students were encouraged to write about a teacher and on Wednesday evening they had ... Evening With the Arts on May 7
The Berthoud High School gymnasium will be transformed into an art gallery on Friday, May 7. It is time for the annual Evening With the Arts, featuring visual and applied arts by students in grades 6 to 12. The Berthoud schools have some extremely talented artists and the Evening With the Arts gives them an opportunity to show off their work and gives the public the opportunity to see what these students can do. An apple for the teacher
The Thompson Education Association (TEA) gathered at Loveland’s Chilson Center on Friday afternoon for the ninth annual Crystal Apple Awards. This year 16 teachers were nominated by their peers for their teaching excellence. The awards are given by the TEA with financial assistance from Goodwin Financial and Horace Mann insurance. Berthoud and Loveland Teams Compete at VEX World
Dallas, Texas (Action Works) April 25, 2010 – Colorado was well represented and had its best ever results at the 2010 VEX World Championships held in Dallas, Texas April 22 - 24. Three of the four teams were Berthoud and Loveland area teams, representing Berthoud High School (2 teams) and Bill Reed Middle School. Thompson School District names two new administrators
Bashor named principal of Big Thompson Elementary Kellie Bashor, who has worked in administration as technology integration coordinator for Thompson School District since 2007, has been named principal of Big Thompson Elementary School pending Board of Education approval on May 5. She replaces Kendrick White, who was recently named principal of Van Buren Elementary School. Todd Ball named principal for Loveland High School
News Release April 27, 2010 Todd Ball, principal at Bill Reed Middle School since 2002, has been named principal of Loveland High School pending Board of Education approval on May 5. He will begin his new duties in fall 2010. Ball will replace Dr. Fred Dreier, who is retiring from the district. Ball was assistant principal of Bill Reed prior to becoming principal. The Jabaily Community Service Scholarship commorates Dr. Joe Jabaily’s deep commitment to community service. The Scholarship is given annually to graduating seniors in the Thompson School District. Stage Manager Sonya Ropek is disgusted with the Assistant Director Austin Puckett who does not seem to understand the seriousness of their situation. No disrespect intended, that is the title of the upcoming Berthoud High School drama production.
