Letter from the Publisher: Disinformation and Ethics

After reading the letter from the subcommittee of the Berthoud Economic Resource Team (BERT) to the Town Board, I read the referenced Berthoud Weekly Surveyor article. After that reading and then comparing it to the article that appeared in The Berthoud Recorder, I find that I must question the completeness and accuracy of information being provided by the Surveyor to those involved in this conflict as well as those in the community. Obituary: Frances Kramer

Frances “Fran” Kramer of Loveland died March 21, 2009 at Loveland Good Samaritan Village. She was 90 years old. She was born June 10, 1918 in Chicago, Ill. to Edward and Lena (Sweiter) Schlief. She married George Kramer on June 15, 1936 in Crown Point, Ind. George Kramer passed in 1988. The couple lived in the Denver area for a while, then moved to Homestead, Fla. where the lived for 20 years. Elizabeth Katherine “Betty” Rose, 82, of Berthoud passed away quietly at her home on Friday, March 13, 2009. Survivors include her husband, Russell F. Robert “Bob” Douglas Ramsay Robert “Bob” Douglas Ramsay, 73, of Longmont died at his residence on March 10, 2009.  Bob was a teacher in the Adams District 50 before his retirement. Michelle “Shelley” Fries, 43, of Berthoud, passed away at her home on March 3, 2009 with her family by her side. She was born Sept. 22, 1965 in Minneapolis, Minn. to Jerry T. and Judy J. (Greig) Fries. The Fries family moved to Berthoud in 1974. She graduated from Berthoud High School in 1983, and then summa cum laude from CSU with a degree in restaurant management. Dorothy Condor Dorothy Lucille Conder passed peacefully with her family present on Feb. 26, 2009 at the Life Care Center of Longmont. She was 84. Robert Thomas Roark Robert “Bob” Thomas Roark died on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009. He was 73 years old. Born on April 22, 1935, in Rock Falls, Ill., Roark was the son of Jeanette (Andrews) and Howard Roark. He married Mary Jo Wright on Nov. 25, 1954, in Princeton, Ill. The couple then moved to Colorado in 1957.
