Thomas Harry Durst, 63, of Berthoud died October 4, 2011 at his home. He was born February 27, 1948 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Harry and Kathleen Durst.
Thomas worked as an overland hauling truck driver for 41 years. In December of 1982, he married Virginia Clara Perrine in Easton, Pennsylvania. Thomas enjoyed western movies, horses, rodeos, NASCAR racing and the Green Bay Packers. His nickname was Rattlesnake. Thomas had been living in Berthoud for the past four and half years.
Thomas is survived by his wife Ginny Durst of Berthoud; mother Kathleen Durst of Lewistown, Pennsylvania; sons Scott Durst of Lewistown, Pa., Chris Durst of Mifflintown, Pa. and Troy Durst of Carlisle, Pa.; daughters Stephanie Durst of Lewistown, Pa., Nicole Camps (Robert) of Wind Gap, Pa., Amber Durst (Fiancé Craig) of Longmont, Colo.; brother Todd Durst of York, Pa.; sisters Susan Himel of Huntington, Pa. and Joyce Durst of Milroy, Pa.; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and two grandchildren.
Cremation will be completed. No services scheduled.
