Elven Herbert Marshall August 19, 1925 – April 26, 2011 Elven Herbert Marshall, 85, of Harvey, North Dakota, formerly of Berthoud, Colorado died Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home in Harvey. Elven was born on August 19, 1925 on the family homestead near Encampment, Wyoming. He was the son of Gale and Georgia (Hawkins) Marshall. Teachers honoring teachers, that is what the Thompson Education Association Crystal Apple Awards are all about. The award ceremony on Friday, April 22 honored Thompson School District teachers for excellence. Twenty-three teachers were nominated for the Crystal Apple Awards which were presented to three educators, one elementary, one middle school and one high school teacher.   People who drive past Riverglenn on County Road 17 are usually treated to the sight of a pair of swans swimming in Treena and Dave Milano’s pond. This week however, the swans are usually sequestered in their enclosure. The reason, on Tuesday the pen hatched three of the five eggs in her clutch and Milano was worried that the foxes and coyotes that frequent the area might find the cygnets a tasty meal. Wyoming police looking for Scott Harmon

LARAMIE, Wyo. — Police in Laramie, Wyo., are looking for a man suspected of stealing from a Walmart in Laramie and stealing a vehicle in Colorado. Police say 22-year-old Rayburn Scott Harmon is believed to be driving a stolen black 2007 Cadillac Escalade. The Rawlins Daily Times reports Harmon is accused of failing to return the Escalade to a car dealership in Berthoud, Colo., after taking it for a test drive. What started as a drunk driver pursuit by the Colorado State Patrol (CSP) has ended up as a standoff on the northeast edge of Berthoud. According to the Larimer County Sheriff's Office the CSP was attempting to stop a motor home that had been called in as a Report Every Drunk Driver Immediately  (REDDI) report. Dana Brungardt is holding a grand opening for her "B" Sweet Cupcakes on Saturday, April 16. The new kitchen and outlet are at 425 E. 4th Street in Loveland.
