Obituary: Connie J. Golightly

Connie J. Golightly, 59, of Berthoud passed away April 28, 2010 at McKee Medical Center. She fought a brave and courageous fight with lung cancer but other complications ended her almost three-year battle. She was born May 11, 1950 in Longmont, Colorado to Eugene and Naomi Maxine (George) Howell. She attended Lakewood High School for one year, but graduated from Poudre High School in Fort Collins. Berthoud Area Humanities Alliance (BAHA) and Citizens First (CF) are sending out a call to all Berthoud Area artists for the first Art in the Garden event to be held on Saturday, June 26 from 4:00 to 8:00 p. m. in the beautiful garden of the historic Waggener home, 980 Mountain Avenue, in Berthoud. Obituary: Theodore “Ted” Wacker

Theodore “Ted” Wacker, 86, of Loveland, Colo., passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2010. Ted was born in Berthoud, Colo., on July 23, 1923, to John and Anna Margaret (Schaefer) Wacker. He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Loveland. Ted attended schools in the Berthoud area and farmed with his family until enlisting in the Army.
