Updated December 2, 2017 Berthoud Fire Protection District Incident Activity 1 November to 5 November Wednesday, November 1 Berthoud Engine 1 responded to 42nd Street SW for power lines down. Upon arrival found a low hanging wire as well as a wire that was touching the ground. Xcel Energy arrived and disconnected the power and moved the all the wires out of the roadway. Lueary L. Rosenburg, 75 of Loveland, passed away April 13, 2015 at the Berthoud Living Center. Lueary Lyn Hepner was born on June 19, 1939 in Annawan, IIllinois and moved to Loveland when she was 6. She graduated from Loveland High School in 1958. Lueary married Gary D. Sprague on April 11, 1959 and together they had 3 children. She later married Alan L. Rosenburg on Sept. 30, 1988. Elizabeth “Betty” Hurd, 94, of Berthoud, went to visit God and liked what she saw and decided to stay on August 2, 2012. She was born on May 20, 1918 in Topeka, Kansas to Harry and Jessie R. Smith. She was raised in Topeka, Kansas. She married Robert R. Hurd on May 11, 1935. She did not graduate high school because she was married. She worked at various places in Topeka.
