9Health Fair Coming to Berthoud

The 9Health Fair will be coming to Berthoud High School on April 10, 7 a.m. to noon. There are some changes for this year. The Berthoud Lions Club is the host, but there will be no pre-registration offered in Berthoud. The entry will now be at the main entrance on Spartan Avenue and some of the tests will be in different rooms than have been used in the past.

Another change is that complementary bottled water will not be available. The information pamphlet mailed to residents says:

Bring your own Water to your 9Health Fair. Make sure your blood draw goes smoothly by being properly hydrated. All participants should bring their own water. Drinking plenty of water the night before and the morning of your 9Health Fair will help make your blood draw as easy as possible.

Also note that the information pamphlet that you may have received in the Berthoud area announces the wrong date on the front. The schedule inside shows the date to be April 10.

The 9HealthFair is now in its 31st year. In 1980, along with support from hundreds of medical and non-medical volunteers, the Lions Clubs of Colorado and the Colorado National Guard, the first 9Health Fair was staged. To this day, all three groups remain steadfast in their important roles with the 9Health Fair as important in-kind sponsors.

More information will be available next week.

Be sure to say “Thanks” to the Lions Club volunteers when you get your 9Health Fair checkup.
