November 26, 1931 - August 25, 2016 Joyce Mazelle Wilson, 84, of Berthoud passed away in Rock Springs, Wyoming on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Deer Trail Assisted Living Center. She was a resident of Rock Springs for the past year and a resident of Berthoud, Colorado for 55 years. She died following a lengthy illness. Curtis was born on December 23, 1928 to Roy and Mabel Wilson in Stevens County, Kansas. He graduated from Elk City High School in 1947. He then moved on to Colorado to follow construction work. Berthoud Lions Club veterans did not let the weather deter them from putting up flags at the Greenlawn cemetery in honor of Veterans Day. The twice-yearly event (Memorial Day and Veterans Day) has been done for so many years that none of the participants can remember when it started. John Erickson honored for service to Berthoud Fire Protection District

The Special District Association of Colorado (SDA) recently awarded its Board Member of the Year to John Erickson for his service to the Berthoud Fire Protection District.
