  LOVELAND, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles evened their opening round Central Hockey League playoff series against the Quad City Mallards with a 5-4, overtime victory in Game 2 of the best-of-5 series. It marked the second night in a row that the winning team came back from behind to force overtime before winning the game early in the extra session. LOVELAND, Colo. - In their first ever visit to the Budweiser Events Center, the Quad City Mallards scored four unanswered goals to claim a 4-3 overtime win against the  Colorado Eagles in Game 1 of the Central Hockey League's Turner Conference Opening Round best-of-5 series. Larimer County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the 200-block of Monroe Avenue in Loveland at approximately 4:30 p.m. yesterday (March 29) on the report of a home invasion and vehicle theft. The 48-year-old victim told deputies that two men entered his home, hit him with a club, threatened him and tied him to his bed.  The two men took several items from the home and also stole the victim's car.  The car, a 2006 Nissan 350Z, was later found by Fort Collins Police Services near the ... George D. Huff (October 10, 1923 - March 3, 2011) George “Bud” Dean Huff was born October 10, 1923 to George and Ethel Huff in Oxford, Nebr. Bud passed away on March 3, 2011 at the age of 87 at Sierra Vista in Loveland, Colo. Bud enlisted in the U.S. Army in February 1943. On July 14, 1943 he married Clara “Pauline” Harrold in Phillipsburg, Kan. In August of 1943 Bud left New York for England to fight in WWII. Bud was in the 5th Infantry Division.
